New Data Centre completed in Record Time

Daly International today completed the Design, Engineering and Construction of a new purpose built $10 AUD million Data Centre in North Ryde, NSW on behalf of Ericsson Australia.

The site located in North Ryde, NSW is located within Sydney’s high tech belt where ‘greenfield’ accommodation options are not available. The selected site is an existing office building which has been extensively remodelled and the base building services substantially upgraded to accommodate the purpose built Data Centre.

The project, which included site identification and acquisition, all planning approvals and certifications, base building and fitout design (including all structural, mechanical and electrical services), and construction management was undertaken for Ericsson on behalf of an existing telecommunications carrier client. Given explosive growth in Ericsson’s client’s business, business coupled with a lease termination of the existing premises, the new Data Centre was required to be delivered against critical time frames.

The newly fitted out data centre was delivered on time and budget allowing for the smooth transition from old premises to new.
